Benefits of…. Coconut Oil

Processed with VSCO with f1 preset

I use coconut oil as a hair mask once a week without fail. Working it into my hair, scalp to ends, I leave in for at least an hour before thoroughly washing it out. I’ve been doing this for about a year now, + although I continue to colour my hair it is in the best condition it has ever been! Thicker, stronger + I don’t see my hairdresser as often as I used to, win win win (except for the hairdresser!)

This is great to use as a natural product for sensitive skin. I use it to apply to shaved legs, it moisturises and soothes. I also apply it to skin irritations.

I always carry around a small pot of  Vita Coco coconut oil to use as a lip balm + hand moisturiser.

I cook with coconut oil as much as I can. It is a great source of healthy fats. I always have one tub in the bathroom + one in the kitchen.

Just check out our P+P Granold recipe to see how I like to use coconut oil in my baking!

How do you use coconut oil + which brand is your favourite?

Olive oil is just as good for cooking with! Switching to coconut oil for me is a choice because I like the flavour. X (P.S. nice blog!)
